So why the switch?
I was made redundant in the spring of 2016 - "live by the sword - die by the sword."
When did I have the realisation that becoming an independent sales agent was the right route? Sometimes you just have to read the signs;
I was travelling 150miles north to interview for a job that I knew I didn't want (but who says no to an interview when you are unemployed?). Stopped half way for a break to return to a car with a flat battery. Strange - but a jump start later and I was back heading north. Only for the car to completely die on me literally 100m from the interview with 15mins to spare. Get the phone number of Alan, who apparently has a tow company from a bloke walking past. Give him a call and then spend an hour answering "standard" questions in the interview. Come out - cars been moved .... Alan tells me it's at his mate Jer's garage and not to worry he'll get it sorted.
Garage was two miles away and with the sun shining I decided to walk..... And that's when two further "signs" sealed the deal with doing something different.
(the alternator had died - three hours later and £200 lighter I was driving south ....... which was actually fairly amazing.)
